This is an opportunity to give a ten- to fifteen-minute presentation to major pharmaceutical companies and other attendees during the Start-Up Showcase at TIDES, Tuesday afternoon, May 19, 2009.

Eligibility:
The start-up showcase is seeking presenters who are developing unique technologies and products which are not yet undergoing clinical studies. Your technology should be at the research or preclinical stage of development.

Thursday, December 1, 2008 - for consideration for inclusion on TIDES printed program brochure
Friday, April 3, 2009 - final deadline for submission

Please send a proposal of a maximum of 250 words in a word document including the following information:

• Company overview - brief history, founding scientists, scientific advisory board members, and key IP (intellectual property).
• Publicly available financing information to date
• Technology description
• Your objective in presenting (examples: to identify new research collaborators or business partners, to secure additional venture financing, etc.)

Judging Criteria:
Proposals will be judged on novelty of technology, unmet medical needs, and feasibility of commercialization.

Proposals must be received no later than Friday, April 3, 2009. However proposals will be reviewed on a first come first served basis and presentation time slots may fill up before that date.

All presenters will be notified by April 17. Important: You must register and pay conference registration fees by April 24 in order to receive confirmation to present in the Start-Up Showcase.
