IBC Life Sciences congratulates past speaker Craig C. Mello and colleague Andrew Z. Fire for being jointly awarded The 2006 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. On October 2, 2006, The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet had awarded The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for 2006 jointly to Andrew Z. Fire and Craig C. Mello for their discovery of "RNA interference - gene silencing by double-stranded RNA".
IBC's 12th Annual World Congress, Drug Discovery & Development of Innovative Therapeutics was held August 6 to 9, 2007, at the World Trade Center and Seaport Hotel in Boston. More than 200 exhibitors catered to some 3000 delegates. More than 90 new products were launched at the show.
