Keynote Presentation
Engineering Improved Immunotoxins for Cancer Therapy
Ira H. Pastan, M.D., Chief, Laboratory of Molecular Biology, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health

Co-Located with IBC's 5th Annual International Conference Antibody Therapeutics

Participate in the 5th Annual Antibody Therapeutics at No Extra Charge

As a registered delegate for the Antibody Engineering conference, you will also have access to the sessions and materials of the 5th Annual Antibody Therapeutics conference. You may move freely among the sessions of both events and customize your conference experience to meet the needs of you and your organization.

Antibody Therapeutics provides a focused look at the preclinical and clinical development of antibody-based drug products. At this year's meeting, you will hear clinical updates of therapeutic programs, learn about the latest developments in antibody conjugates and gain solutions to problems associated with immunogenicity, glycosylation and effector functions. Plus, you will be updated on the current status of the antibody therapeutics market, examine the current intellectual property environment and see the benefits to be realized as next-generation expression systems come into widespread use.

Antibody engineering emerged in a progression of groundbreaking experiments during the 1980s. This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Ira Pastan, published on the first therapeutic single-chain Fv fusion protein in June 1989. In 1990 the first IBC International Conference on Antibody Engineering was held, and it has since become a keystone event, with its sophistication keeping abreast of the singular advances in antibody engineering. The 18th International conference continues this tradition with an preeminent array of scientists selected by the Scientific Advisory Board. Speakers will discuss their latest, far-reaching investigations on antibody engineering, recombinant antibody and immunofusion therapeutics, and B and T cell immunology and related immunotherapy. Also included are methodological advances in molecular design and library manipulation, and critical progress on single scaffold binding proteins, which were spawned from antibody engineering. The meeting is scientifically sponsored by The Antibody Society, which underscores its role as a forum for the antibody engineering community.

During the five days of the conference, an unparalleled international faculty of more than 50 leading scientists will present up-to-date research results on the most cutting-edge basic and applied antibody engineering science. You will network with more than 700 of your colleagues, explore exhibits showcasing the latest research technologies and interact with authors in the extensive poster area.

Cutting-Edge Presentations from a Preeminent Internationally Recognized Faculty

  • Engineering Hybrid and Fusion Protein Immunotherapeutics
  • Structural Aspects of Binding of Antibodies and Scaffolds to Peptides vs. Proteins
  • Single Scaffold Binders
  • Selection and Screening
  • Recent Advances in Antibody Technologies
  • Novel Approaches to Enhancing Antibody Potency
  • Designing Antibodies for Complex Environments
  • CD20-Targeted Antibody Therapeutics

Plus, attend a special Pre-Conference Workshop: "Control of the Antibody Response," with leading experts from La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology (LIAI), National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases, Rockefeller University, Simon Fraser University, Stanford University School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh.

Just announced - IBC and Life Science Analytics, Inc. have come together to present a special version of MedTRACK. This feature offers all registered conference attendees of Antibody Engineering access to MedTrack, which will enable them to research the profiles, pipelines, financials, competitive products, sales and partnering information of the companies at the event, as well as to strategically plan and prepare for potential meetings with any of these companies.
