- formal and informal 'partnerships'/collaborations across sectors (such as involving R&D Industry, HHS (especially FDA and NIH) Government, and Academia
- business alliances among companies; and
- international cooperation (e.g., via the EU's EMEA and CIOMS in interaction with 'partnerships' and business alliances
- Priorities?
- In an era of obsession with healthcare costs, transparency, and access, how do we best determine what kinds of research to target in light of social, public policy and ethical considerations?
- Social Responsibility and Personalized Medicine
- In addition to priority considerations, what are the social responsibilities involved with Personalized Medicine - such as public outreach, education and interactions with media - that industry, government and academia have?
- Information and Communication with the Public and Healthcare Professionals
- What will physicians do differently based on results of diagnostic tests?
- Will different therapy always lead to a better outcome?
- What do we tell patients when a PM test identifies something that there is no treatment for, especially if it is a series/fatal diagnosis that a patient can receive by commercial tests without the advice of a physician?
