Featured presentations by Enda Moran of Wyeth and Wolfgang Noe of Biogen Idec discussed the application of QbD and described a paradigm shift taking place in cell-culture based biomanufacturing processes.

Additional Highlights included:

  • 5 Standing-room only break-out discussions and 3 interactive panel discussions gave attendees the opportunity to actively problem-solve the most challenging issues in bioprocessing.
  • 53 Presenters provided comprehensive coverage of the topics across several disciplines and during every stage of development for upstream and downstream processing.
  • 14 Technology workshops gave companies the ability to showcase the tools and techniques that are driving the bioprocessing field.
  • Plus, the "Sold Out" exhibition was the largest ever for this event with a total of 75 booths and networking abounded as evidenced by the heavy traffic in every isle during the refreshment breaks, luncheons and cocktail receptions.
