WESTBOROUGH, MA - July 29, 2009 - The IBC Professional Training Academy announced today the addition of online training to its portfolio of learning platforms. The IBC Online system is based on the state of the art in academic distance learning methods, and offers delegates a convenient, affordable alternative to traveling to a live course.

Carbohydrate Chemistry: Understanding Glycan Structures and Their Analysis - This course reviews the types of glycoconjugates in mammalian cells and their recognized biological functions. The objective is to provide participants with key technical information along with perspectives to enable them to evaluate the carbohydrates present in their own products and confidently select analytical strategies to support the various stages of product development.
Cell Culture and Fermentation Bioprocessing - This course provides discussion of the principles and procedures involved in developing cell culture and fermentation processes for the pilot and large scale manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products.
Design and Validation of Immunoassays - The course describes appropriate design and validation steps for immunoassays critical to their successful use in the laboratory. Included are overviews of technologies that can be used to develop assays for testing biological samples for compounds, metabolites, biopharmaceuticals, and monoclonal antibodies.
